Fans Demand Detainment of Individual Who Seized Ariana Grande

Passionate followers of the actress are demanding that a man who breached a barricade and touched the actress during Thursday's Wicked: For Good launch be arrested or expelled from Singapore.

A viral video depicts the Australian man bypassing media personnel and rushing toward Grande while the cast made its way down a event pathway accompanied by fans.

Cast member Cynthia Erivo promptly pulled the stunned actress away from Mr Wen, who was observed being removed of the event by event staff.

Mr Wen shared on Instagram Thursday evening that he was "free after being detained", though legal records showed that he was set to appear on the next day. It is uncertain if he was faced legal action.

Pattern of Event Invasions

This is part of a pattern for Mr Wen, who calls himself a "Notorious Troublemaker", has disrupted a concert or event. His Instagram profile includes recordings of him disrupting other star-studded functions, including rushing the platform at Katy Perry's Sydney show in June this year and in a similar way during The Chainsmokers concert in the same location last year.

"There needs to be action enforced against him as this is clearly a criminal offence," commented an Instagram user, in a message to a video Mr Wen uploaded of his actions.

"This appears to be a habit... why are you not imprisoned?" a different Instagram user remarked.

Supporters Express Concern Over Grande's Safety

Many fans blamed Mr Wen for "re-traumatising" Grande, who had discussed suffering from trauma-related anxiety after a devastating incident at the end of her 2017 performance in Manchester, resulting in the death of 22 people and injuring numerous individuals.

"Ariana has been through so many scary things... and at her Manchester concert and you thought it would be fun to jump the barricade?" said one more comment on Instagram.

Several attendees also questioned event staff at the gathering for not being adequately prepared; while others called for social media platforms to ban Mr Wen's uploads.

Aftermath and Event Details

In videos shared widely, Grande appeared shocked when she was touched by the individual. Her cast members Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be observed reassuring her while Mr Wen was led out by staff.

Grande has not issued a statement on the incident, and the premiere activities carried on uninterrupted.

Numerous of supporters had gathered in a mass of emerald and rose at the Wicked: For Good Asia-Pacific debut in a Singapore shopping center, including a number who had stood in line for as long as a significant duration before it began.

The motion picture, to be premiered on November 21, is the follow-up of a two-film version of the well-known Broadway and West End musical Wicked, which focuses on the unlikely relationship between two contrasting sorceresses.

The musical itself is a adaptation of the classic children's novel The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who acts as the benevolent sorceress Glinda, was decked out in a light pink sequin dress at the premiere while Erivo, who plays the villainous character, wore a sleek black dress decorated with roses.

The first movie, Wicked, was the top-earning motion picture of last year in the UK, and earned a dozen Oscar nominations, winning several for excellent wardrobe and set decoration.
