19 of Daniil Medvedev's twenty-one titles have been won on hard courts
A comeback Medvedev won his initial title for nearly 30 months with a win over opponent Moutet in the competition championship match.
The Russian, a former number one, has experienced a torrid season, achieving just a single victory at the big events and suffering a setback at the New York tournament.
His varied form on the ATP Tour - and issues with his serve in especial - caused him exiting of the top ten and finally parting ways with long-time trainer Cervara.
Presently training with his coach and Goetzke, he has gradually improved in the past month - culminating in a hard-fought competitive victory over challenger Corentin Moutet.
This marks the player's initial championship after the 2023 Rome Masters and initial on a hardcourt from spring of the previous year.
Success also indicates the Russian has achieved twenty-one championships at twenty-one various tournaments.
"It's the first time I have attended a event with my two daughters together, so to win a trophy is especially meaningful," commented world number 14 Daniil Medvedev.
"This title is in honour of my child my daughter, because the first title I achieved when my first daughter my daughter was born was for her."
The athlete, the past champion, had failed in his past six championship matches, including in Halle earlier this year.
Medvedev's retrieving strategy and regular outbursts on the tennis court had led some to doubt if his ability to play at the highest level was over.
Yet the athlete has made changes in recent weeks, attempting to advance forward and perform aggressively, backed up by an enhanced serving game.
The champion recovered from a break down in the opening set against the tricky Frenchman, securing 4 of the concluding five points to gain the advantage.
Both players exchanged break points in the middle set before the challenger, attempting for his maiden ATP Tour victory, took control to create a final set.
Moutet defended four early-game break points in a tight third set before the Russian broke to 15 to serve for the match.
Fittingly, the winner secured victory with a rally at the front of the court, with his opponent unable to control a volley after a lengthy match.
