Across the gaming landscape, enthusiasts continue to ring the death bells for the green team. Microsoft's console just got outsold by a lesser-known competitor. Xbox fan sites are now publishing content regarding Sony's platform for the first time. 2025 was complete chaos for the tech giant's gaming arm. However, judging purely by the upcoming Game Pass lineup in 2026, it is apparent that Microsoft remains determined to draw people in with strong games on its premier subscription.
A pair of titles that are immediately available as you read this, Brews & Bastards and Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition, aren't the showstoppers. The true anticipation is for the upcoming titles to Game Pass soon that's worth getting excited about.
Starting January 13th, Game Pass will add the underrated Star Wars Outlaws, a sprawling adventure that deviates from typical Ubisoft design with a cosmic robbery tale. An additional significant inclusion is Resident Evil Village featuring the towering Lady Dimitrescu, hailed in past assessments as "a superb mixture of frights and fights."
Yet, the less-hyped additions coming to Game Pass soon are quite compelling. Lost In Random: The Eternal Die, the criminally overlooked roguelike that's a blast to play, becomes available next week — and you should try it whether or not you experienced the first Lost in Random game.
The British post-apocalyptic game from last year could captivate you within just a quarter of an hour.
Atomfall, a game blending infiltration and resource management by the developers behind Sniper Elite, is also a game to check out. Ultimate tier members also have Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine – Master Crafted Edition to anticipate.
Ultimately, these aren't the most groundbreaking additions to Game Pass, nor are they tentpole Microsoft studios games that are the sole reason for the service by themselves. But Microsoft's additions here are rock solid. There's a good mixture of older titles you may have skipped and fairly new titles that failed to receive the spotlight they were due initially — transforming them into perfect candidates to experience a revival on Game Pass.
Hope you're ready to say goodbye to The Grinch Christmas Adventures, as it happens.
