Two dozen Nigerian Female Students Released More Than Seven Days Following Capture

A total of two dozen Nigerian-born young women captured from the educational institution more than seven days back are now free, national leadership announced.

Gunmen invaded a learning facility situated within Kebbi State last month, fatally wounding a worker while capturing 25 students.

The nation's leader government leadership praised security forces for their "immediate reaction" to the incident - while precise conditions surrounding their freedom were not specified.

Africa's most populous nation has experienced numerous cases of kidnappings in recent years - amounting to 250 children taken from a Catholic school days ago yet to be located.

Via official communication, an appointed consultant of the administration confirmed that each young woman taken from educational facility within the region were now safe, mentioning that the incident sparked copycat kidnappings across further local territories.

The president stated that more personnel are being positioned towards high-risk zones to stop further incidents of kidnapping".

Through another message on X, government leadership wrote: "Military aviation must sustain ongoing monitoring over the most remote areas, synchronising operations alongside land forces to properly detect, isolate, disrupt, and counteract every threatening factor."

Exceeding fifteen hundred students have been abducted from educational institutions in recent years, when multiple young women were taken hostage amid the infamous large-scale kidnapping.

On Friday, at least 300 children and staff got captured at a learning facility, a Catholic boarding school, located within regional territory.

Fifty of those abducted from the school have since escaped according to the Christian Association - however no fewer than 250 remain unaccounted for.

The main religious leader within the area has stated that national authorities is undertaking "insufficient measures" to save the unaccounted individuals.

This kidnapping at the institution was the third impacting the country within seven days, forcing national leadership to call off journey global meeting organized within the African country at the weekend to address the situation.
